Advanced Assessment Methods
Professionals at Roundway Centre use advanced assessment methods to gain an in-depth individual profile of each child.
Advanced video analysis has improved the accuracy of assessments, contributing to an individual profile, diagnosis, personal plan and intervention.
An advantage of video assessment is observing the child or young person's representative interaction in their natural surroundings with familiar adults. Many children are more comfortable in their surroundings where there is no need to travel to visit a remote clinic or be with a stranger. The professionals will discuss the child's or person's individual profile and recommend the next steps once they have completed the assessment.
We ask parents or carers to send short video clips of child: adult interaction using a secure link. Below is some guidance on making the videos.
